As we reflect on 2025, the Brown Girls Climb (BGC) community; locally and globally has been navigating an extraordinary amount of change, grief, and uncertainty.

This year brought a political shift marked by renewed efforts to dismantle Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion work, both within the outdoor industry and far beyond it. These changes have had real consequences for the communities we serve and belong to.

In the face of these challenges, BGC has continued to adapt, pivot, and respond with care. We have remained committed to supporting our community through mentorship, outdoor education, and leadership pathways especially as immigrant communities we connect with and lead alongside face increasing violence, criminalization, and loss. We hold this reality with deep seriousness, and it continues to shape how we show up, organize, and protect one another.

Your support has sustained critical programs that empower climbers of the Global Majority through education, access, and resources. Together, we have built a movement rooted in accountability, storytelling, and collective care one that continues to challenge harmful norms while celebrating joy, resilience, and leadership in outdoor spaces.

This 2025 Impact Report highlights not only the work we have accomplished within our local and national communities, but also the growing reach of Brown Girls Climb beyond the United States. It reflects the strength of our networks, the depth of our partnerships, and the collective power of our members, leaders, and allies.

As we move toward 2026, we do so with intention and clarity. We are preparing to celebrate 10 years of Brown Girls Climb—a decade of building space, shifting culture, and creating pathways where few existed before. This milestone is not just a celebration of longevity, but a recommitment to our values and to the communities who make this work possible.
