VOICES FROM THE VALLEY SPEAKER SERIES: KAREEMAH BATTS

Brown Girls Climb, in partnership with REI, are hosting a three month speaker series highlighting the accomplishments of three climbers making a difference! Join us as we celebrate three unique voices from the valley. Kicking off this series in August is Kareemah Batts, adaptive athlete and founder of the Adaptive Climbing Group in New York City. In September, we will hear from owner of Coral Cliffs Climbing Gym, coach and entrepreneur, Abby Dione. Our final event will host climber, Margarita Martinez, who with over 20 years of experience continues to push her limits today! Come hear about their epics, favorite crag snacks, and how they have used their experience on the sharp end to advocate for others in the outdoors. Note: Documentation among marginalized athletes is limited and is part of the reason we are hosting the event!
